My wife and I recently adopted a little girl from Chengdu, Sichuan province,
China. Here are some photos of the baby chosen for us by the Chinese
Center for Adoption Affairs in Beijing, though the dates of most of the
photos are indeterminate. Her Chinese name is She Ying.
Here
she is at 10 months with mismatched socks, on her way to her checkup with
Dr. Chen. This woman was her foster mother, and they were housed
in the orphanage.
