The mission of Managerial Sciences Department is to create a climate of scholarly excellence to benefit those served by its programs. From the perspective of teaching this means the transmission to students in lectures, seminars, discussion sections, advice and consul; the knowledge, perspectives and methods of various subject fields. From the perspective of acquisition and the synthesis and dissemination of knowledge this means the pursuit of research and scholarly activities that contribute to the advancement of knowledge itself, and which maintain and enhance the faculty member's role as teacher in the department. From the perspective of service it means the application, where appropriate, of knowledge and experience in assistance to the university, the business community, the local public, and the professions of management, marketing, finance and supply chain management.
